4-Week Pottery Classes

4-Week Pottery Classes

This is the class to join if you’ve never done clay before but have always wanted to try it. Four weeks of class time plus a little extra practice during our free open studio times will acquaint you with basic techniques like centering and throwing, trimming, and glazing.

Classes are relaxed and unstructured. Teaching is one-on-one as needed. And all classes are a mix of beginners, intermediate and advanced students, so help and technical advice are always available. You learn at your own pace and through your own individually designed projects. In addition, all four week students have unlimited access to the studio on weekends.

Classes are on-going throughout the year; we recommend that beginners start with four weeks, just to make sure you actually like working with clay. Four-week sessions begin whenever it works with your schedule.

Classes meet once a week for three hours each; students choose the day of their class (and if you can't make your chosen day, you may simply attend one of the other classes that week):

  • Monday evenings, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM

  • Tuesday mornings, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM

  • NEW – Tuesday evenings, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM

  • Wednesday mornings, 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM

  • Wednesday evenings, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM

  • Thursday evenings, 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM – FULL for January-February session

Four-week classes are $100 plus $50 materials fee (includes 15 lbs of clay, all glazes and electric kiln firings, and free open studio time on Saturdays and Sundays).

Please note: There are no refunds after the first class.
